Hi, just a few questions. In what version of Widelands is this based? can we download maps from widelands.org and play them here?
Thanks

Hi, I tried to install the bin with the application manager, but it gave me errors. Then I tried with sudo dpkg but it gave me the same errors:

~/MyDocs/.documents $ sudo dpkg -i widelands-bin-0.3-1_armel.deb Selecting previously deselected package widelands-bin.
(Reading database ... 17707 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking widelands-bin (from widelands-bin-0.3-1_armel.deb) ...

Package libsdl-gfx1.2-4 is not installed.
widelands-bin depends on libsdl-net1.2 (>= 1.2.5); however:

widelands-bin depends on libsdl-ttf2.0-0 (>= 2.0.9); however:
Package libsdl-ttf2.0-0 is not installed.
dpkg: error processing widelands-bin (--install):

please advice.

Linman, thanks a lot for porting!
Current version of Widelands is build 14. There are many new advantages in the game. I guess you aren't going to maintain port in the future, are you? I know, it is huge work to port this game.
This game is distributed under GNU GPL, so you should to release your changes as sources, not binaries only. I tell this not to blame you, of course. I want to say - this GPL rule is very important for cases like this port. If you release sources of changes (completly ready for package building files), then even if you neglect porting, someone could continue porting of new versions, basing on your work.
So, may I ask you sources of changings, or I should not to wait and start porting of new version afresh?

Best regards, Ilia.

I'll check if I have the sources.

That would be great.
I started to port build14. It uses SCons for building (instead of autotools). Diablo SDK contains very very old SCons version and it returns syntax error. I have spent the whole day to build new SCons deb package for Maemo from Debian repository, but there is always unmet dependencies (even using Fremantle SDK). Finally I installed SCons 1.2.0 from www.scons.org (precompiled binaries, without deb package). And... The same syntax error:

Code:
scons: Reading SConscript files ...
  File "/home/lilovip/Projects_maemo/widelands-src/SConstruct", line 273

    ('-c' if env["USE_COLOR"] else '',

           ^

SyntaxError: invalid syntax
Any ideas? Building the same sources not inside scratchbox (in Debian) hasn't errors. May be "bad" python in Diablo SDK?
