Why? What difference does it make to you if those who prefer to use the command line have that option? Pointy clicky interfaces to rpm generally rely on low level text based commands the same as pointy clicky interfaces to apt.

If the rpm package system will be finally implemented i 'd prefere the urpmi tool as is more fast than apt-get

Convenience.

(I know that at the end it is a CLI, I just like the usage paradigm behind YaST2 and don't like it in HAM or CLI tools itself. Of course, I know in some cases it is impossible to avoid CLI)

those who do not understand mandriva are condemned to reimplement it poorly

That (rather, the original "Those who do not understand Unix are condemned to reinvent it, poorly." by Henry Spencer) is one of my favourite quotes ever, and over two decades later I still come across new instances where it applies on a daily basis :-/

At least feature-wise it shouldn't be that sad rpm is going to be chosen over deb. The package format itself isn't all that different. rpm just isn't kosher for some hippies
