I got mine from GSM Imports on Amazon in January and got an Asia N9. It's been flawless, the purchase and shipping were typically Amazon hassle-free and painless.

Looks like you're obvious in confusing to buy N9 or N900.

My N900 is terribly damaged and I can't use it anymore.

I had a Samsung Galaxy S2 for 5 months and now I always get reboots when I do simple tasks like music, games etc.
The USB is damaged too so it wont boot up sometimes.

The Galaxy S2 is cheap plastic, I will never buy a samsung phone again!

Should I buy a Lumia 900 or N9 but I like Maemo/Meego OS more.

Because a new N900 is almost impossible to get, I am thinking of buying a new unused Nokia N9 with country of origin finland.

Not sure if the A1 store in my environment still has a N9.

I'd say go for an N9. I tried out the Lumia in some stores and it just wasn't for me. I may be biased though. You can also get a used N900 as a backup phone, they're being sold online dirt cheap.

I think I will go with an Nokia N9.

Do you know how do distinguish a finland N9 from an chinese N9.
I don't want a cheap replica.

I also don't know where to buy a unused n900.

If I buy it from Amazon is it made in china or finland?

How many differences are there between finland/china?

The difference between the two brands are the language packages that are installed, otherwise they are the same.

Agreed!

As for the paint chipping, well we have a huge thread for that. The polycarbonate body on the black n9 has a lacquered coating which chips away. You may say it would be best to it in the silicon case but then the coating will develop some weird sweat marks.

Both Finish and Chinese models are reported to do this, they are the same.
