i will try it, thanks a lot, but i'm thinking - maybe somehow inform repository owner about this problem? or somebody who can fix it? it is sure not so big problem to fix file permissions or package versions.

sadly, most music players on both linux desktop and maemo seems to be overly complicated. databases, automated tag sorts, but try to just toss a number of random files from a dir into a play list and set it on random loop, its a no go unless one use programs that has not been touched in ages.

i guess its much more fun to work on a itunes like player...

I will change the permissions as soon as I can get in touch with him. Root pass is needed..

i for one bought the n800 for music playback-nothing else and it has a lousy music player-xmms sounds good -a little help will be much appreciated

odd. Had to unload a previous playlist to get it to work. But my visuals (track time count and EQ, etc.) still don't work.
