If you're not chair of council, who's then? And who put that asterisk there?

Could a member of the council please put up a blog post on
http://maemo.org/community/council/ saying voting's started and if
someone hasn't received a token, but believes they are eligible, they
should contact X-Fade?

I'll even write the text for you if necessary; although perhaps one of
the candidates standing would like to, to show they can meet the
requirement for the council to communicate with the community
effectively, as well as Nokia & Nemein :-)

For the record, posts to the Community Council Blog (which is the official communication mechanism, whereas maemo-community is the official main community discussion mechanism) will get syndicated to planet.maemo.org and automatically get reposted to the Community forum on TMO. I still think a blog post there is necessary, and the thread automatically created merged with Estel's.

On little different topic - I would like to personally thanks all people involved in resolving voting issue. Especially, thanks to Qgil for enforcing pushing it further, when stall was real threat, and to joerg_rw for bringing ancient mails with vote invitation, that were required to push this further

If the current council put up a blog post on
http://maemo.org/community/council/, it would automatically have
posted here. Perhaps they could take your text and then the resulting
threads merged by a moderator.

Hopefully the new council will use the tools at their disposal far
more effectively than the current one.

According to the wiki page history, the asterisk was put next to my name by General Antilles on April 9, who edits MWKN news along with Jaffa, who has also recently taken to making negative comments against me. I hope this mistake is coincidence as it would be first time people have resorted to sleazy tactics against a candidate who has volunteered much time to maemo.

Ah figured it out. I haven't been a member of maemo.org long enough.

I'm sure it's coincidence - he probably put * next to Your name, because You were sole active Council member.

Much of unnecessary bad/demotivating things were said lately, but now, Election is running, and considering number + type of candidates, it's really a Maemo Holiday (Holiweek ). It's really refreshing to see so much positive energy being presented by both candidates and voting Community.

The best thing, is that - again considering candidate's names - whatever 5 from 7 will be elected, it guarantee active and responsible Council, so I rest assured
