Evidently there is a solar flare or something such going on, and the reality dysfunction field extends past the Earth orbit, causing threads like this one to appear out of nowhere, maemo repository bandwidth to vanish into nowhere, and probably many other less important phenomena we haven't heard of yet (or will not have heard of yet, like pianos getting stuck in London staircases and such).

My grandma, who is an authority on such matters, holds that the Universe is an autostable energy complex (sort of like a top, only bigger), and thus the situation should sort itself out without us having to bother at all. Given the time scales involved, however, it is unknown whether that will happen after, or before, non-QWERTY N810 models become available (which might just cause another time warp in itself).
