It doesn't let me add contacts at all, there is no option to even go through my phonebook to find contacts at all...

Just add a phone number which is related with ebuddy xms in phonebook and the contact will automatically appear in ebuddy xms contact

does this work with the app closed? it receives the messages, and notifies you properly?

I signed up for the maillist at xms, and said I had a N900 and used maemo.
I received an email today saying that xms was available for my phone. I dowloaded and installed it succesfully, so I got excited!
but now its nowhere to be found among my applications. if there is no maemo version WHY can I install it? that's just cruel!

That's where the eBuddy contact/support is...
Not that she's been terribly responsive thus far.
But now that the app's out she'll probably be better.

The Qn was asked in the thread I linked to above (N900 support?), but she never answered.
I suspect N9 (naturally) will be the priority, I doubt N900 will ever be on the radar, but you never know.
One of the posters in that thread seemed to think it was....

That iOS cloth background will get them some issues to worry about :P

Seems to work fine for me, although I did have an account + my contacts on it from my iPod

Push notifications work fine when the app is closed, get a blue flag icon on the status bar and a notification on the notifications part of the events page

Also friends are automatically updated
