Solution to keyboard bug is this:
Use Qoles Easy Debian scripts.
I have done this. Works just fine
It's a lot of screwing around. I need the scripts (xypher etc) and we just need to add what we are missing.
Ubuntu is fast enough. I like this build.
Anyhow! Keyboard issue is fine and fixable. I fixed it and lost all data.

A simple solution (ROUGH!!)...
Rename the ubuntu file to debian*.ext3 (whatever the name is).
Replace the original debian.ext3 with Ubuntu image renamed.
Reboot (might not be needed).
The run the easy debian icon. It will fail to run.
THEN
Run ubuntu icon.
Done. Keyboard focus fixed.
IF someone can upload the Easy Debian Scripts, I can fix this problem.
This is the solution I have found for now, since I lost my macbook... Damn hell!
Edit: I run Ubuntu off SD card, and easy debian off MyDocs.. You will have two copies of Ubuntu on N900...
I need the easy debian scripts if someone can post them up.
Edit v2: This is a disgusting fix, I know. Try it
We can fix this easily. We need easy deb scripts, which I can't find...

Keyboard works alright until I tab back out to maemo then tab in. Then I get nothing. No matter what, I cant use the keyboard in the terminal. Can't install anything from the software center.
It does seem pretty responsive otherwise.
Having never been an ubuntu user before I'm not sure what I would do with this. Was just thinking of getting VLC installed, maybe a decent music player, use of open office, and maybe some games.
Thanks for your hard work!
