HOW TO INSTALL NITDROID 0.0.9 XMAS FOR NOOBS

Important: It's for overclocked phones, if you dont have kernel-power installed then wait someone make this for stock kernels.

Uninstall it using the instructions on the first page!

then

1. If you have uboot or bootmenu, remove it.
2. Install rootsh and leafpad
3. Download NITDroid rootfs from here.
4. Download NITDroid kernel from here.
5. Copy downloaded files to MyDocs.

6. Open x-term and do this:
sudo gainroot
mkdir /and
mount /home /and
apt-get install multiboot multiboot-kernel-power bzip2
cd /home/user/MyDocs
bzip2 -d NITDroid-0.0.9.tar.bz2
cd /and
tar xvf /home/user/MyDocs/NITDroid-0.0.9.tar
dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/nitdroid-kernel-2.6.28-06_final1_armel.deb
exit
root
umount /and
exit

7. Make the multiboot item as ammyt says in first post.
8. Apply FIXES postes in first post if you want

Thanks to CepiPerez . (I ammended his original post)

i had problems enabling the power-kernel with multiboot aswell so let me share how i got mine working smoothly after a reflash (it was needed because when i installed nitdroid for the first time, power-kernel was not functioning anymore--even after reinstallation)

this is from a newly flashed n900.. with power kernel v46 (manually updated).. follow the steps of ammyt as it works perfectly.. though what i did was after step 5: (please refer to ammyt's guide) do this right away.
----------------------------------------------------
If you're a power user: Let’s assume you have installed or updated to latest kernel-power after installing NITDroid. Note: kernel-power is compatible with multiboot starting from version 39.

1. make sure you have version 39 or later installed.

2. you MUST also have the zImage file from kernel-power. It comes in an optional package kernel-power-bootimg. If in doubt, do this:

apt-get install kernel-power-bootimg kernel-power-modules

Now you can either manually modify the .item file, or you can let multiboot handle it automatically:

apt-get install multiboot-kernel-power

This will do everything for you
------------------------------------------------

then continue with the same process as indicated on ammyt's guide..

it worked in this particular order for me..

Cepi perez method was a bit misleading regarding the .item file however, in maemo flashe try thisr:
flasher-3.5 -F ''image''--flash-only=kernel -f
