This is one thing I miss from Android. There is an app called Power Manager Pro and I could specify things like screen timeout, brightness, wifi, gps, bt etc based on different triggers such as battery life and charging status.
It was great when I got in the car, plugged my phone into the cradle and bt,and gps enabled and the screen timeout was set to never. Also had a bed option which dimmed the screen to minimum, set the phone to silent and turned all the radios off.
I could also put a shortcut on the desktop for one click access.
