great and long read about windows phone 8. Not as fun as sailfish, but a great read while we are waiting.

Just installed it on my HTPC (not more than 4 hours ago)

The good things:
- BIOS is not changed, this was my biggest fear
- Every driver seems to work fine
- It was only 29 bugs around here
- Media Center is free
- Debian on other HD was not affected, no problems with dualboot
- Installation without burning a DVD and private data was taken over
- I never was a big fan of this "desktop-concept", happy, that it's gone...i liked command-line and even win3.1, but i hated win95

The bad things:
- i don't know how to handle it.... every known workaround does not work anymore, but ok for a new system
- Microsoft wants to know EVERYTHING about you during registration (wtf), even your age, i'm now 98 years old
- Every programm is now called app and handled as such
- they want to know your credit card information
- you don't have real control over your PC anymore (worst part!)

These are only my first impressions! after 4 or 6 hours...

Windows Phone is closed source OS. there is no source code for it and porting to N900 is impossible.
