Yes. And for multiple reasons I have decided not to use it.

Very true, but there a lot more factors involved in designing a keyboard. As this is not the first suggestion in this thread i suggest you use the search function to find all the suggestions that did not make the cut.

Anyways, thanks for the thoughts! But as stated in my signature, please send a PM if you think you have a good idea. ATM the design is final, so this doesn't really help.

Dirk, I presume that is your name.. I am organizing a meetup in Utrecht second half of march.. It would be nice besides meeting other jolla enthusiasts to see the your prototype in real life. If you can spare the time off course

Okay, I updated the order number to the people who actually paid

Also, but would you guys prefer the parts to be made out of Nylon 645 instead of PLA? They will be indestructible, you could dye them in every color and the surface quality is very nice.





Also, I bought a 3D printer. More updates soon!

PLA has a very low melting temperature, so i'd avoid using it for smartphone parts
