This is because I am not flipping the front camera viewfinder. I can easily do that but then all the pictures and videos will be flipped too (right will be left) like Android does for example.

Is that an acceptable solution ?

what about after taking pic, that it will automatically edit the picture (flipping it )

Why does it show it flipped anyway?
All other "front camera apps" doesn't need that?

The captured image itself can have an exif orientation tag to describe how it should be rendered. Not all viewers support flipping though (our post capture viewer does not ). Videos will be a different story

It's related to what the camera sensor sees and how we render that to the screen. I can give you a more detailed explanation if you so desire

Android flips the viewfinder for front camera. I am not sure what iOS does.

I can do some tests and see. I am just a bit busy these days trying to get panorama functionality but still failing

0.0.27
* horizontally flip front camera to prevent upside down viewfinder in portrait mode

Not much changes unfortunately.

P.S. I have seen a crash when switching from front to back camera. I have seen it twice but failed to reproduce under the debugger or capture a core file (blame harmattan) so consider that a known issue!

I guess I will also stop updating the first post with the changelog unless someone needs it. I will just create a new post with the changes like I usually do.

Enjoy

EDIT: There is no panorama support yet. The plugin went into the package by mistake

I reuploaded the package to remove the broken panorama mode.

I am thinking about adding sequential shots support. I am thinking that the UI should allow:
- selecting the number of shots
- interval between each 2 shots
- how much time to wait before capturing the first shot
- whether to try to focus before a shot or not

I am still not sure how to do that UI-wise. Adding 3 sliders and a check button to the viewfinder is a bit of a mess.

What do you all think?

i cant install 0.0.27 package, fails with mismatched size

i cant picture the options for seq shots NOT being cluttered, but its a specialty mode and more controls for it is probably better than generic usability.

I removed the package, saved the form and reuploaded it. If it does not work this time then I don't really know what to do
