I downloaded it from the OVI store about an hour ago. I am impressed. Smooth and intuitive interface.

I haven't had to wait more than a couple of minutes for it to render a picture, even around 180 degrees. We shall see when I capture some huge outdoor pics tomorrow.

It makes a good job of the image even though I wasn't really trying!

I am running the swapiness mod and am OC'd to 1ghz if that makes a difference (which I am thinking it might!)

okay - took what i estimate to be around 250degree picture from my balcony on a nice clear sunny day. It took 3 minutes 42 seconds to process. Admittedly this is not amazing but when are you in a hurry to take a panoramic photograph with a phone?!

Create a file called panorama.install in /home/user/MyDocs
and paste the contents of the post into it. Save and open file manager.
Click the install file you created.

Maybe it's the libqt4-experimental that's causing it...

edit: removing those packages did the trick
I have exactly the same problem. How could I remove those incompatible packages?

EDIT: Ok, I found out how to remove. But navit seems to need it...

I am in oz and installed it from ovi store, you will have to search for 'panorama' in the search field in ovi, its not in list...

for those who cannot find it in the ovi list, simply search for 'panorama' in ovi store search facility.

sometimes I feel that the Nokia is not releasing software, it is leaking so that some of us just test and post information on this site and then they can (hopefully ) get some feedback.

Cheers, worked a treat.

I just tried it with a 6 snap photo, this app is awesome. It took about 30 seconds to stitch (process) the photo, and I couldn't tell where the joins were.

I love the cues to rotate the camera in to the correct position before it automatically takes the pic.

i had big fun with panorama yesterday, what i did?
i went with my wife to the park - yeah thats funny enough,
i know - and suddenly i remembered my n900 and this
beautiful application.

instead of taking a simple panorama photo of the park my
wife appeared on some of frames and i ended with 3, 4, 5
wifes on the computed panorama photos:-)

try to center the person in each frame and ommit some frames
where the person does not appear. good luck ...

I've posted a review (including a video review) about Nokia Panorama on my site meetmeego.org.

http://meetmeego.org/home/panorama-fuers-n900

The review is in German, but the video does have English subtitles.

Direct link to the video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4y78eiQuJNk

I really recommend this application for everyone. It adds so much value to the N900!

I would really appreciate if German-speaking users post their impressions of the app on my site in the comments below the article.

Thanks!

Have fun!
