Woah 650 USD ????!?!?!?!. I got mine for 545 CAD (including taxes) in Toronto from Chinese resellers. If it was ebay, then you should contact them first. If I remember correctly, paypal and ebay are the same company now. Gluck on this.

Then DON'T get it from ebay. Simple as.

The majority of single phones sold on ebay are normally barred by the operator within a few days of purchase, simply 'cos the guys that sell them think it would be a good laugh to report them stolen after the sale, or they are ex-contract. i.e They can't afford to pay the bill, so they flog the phone, and because the bill doesn't get paid, the phone gets locked.

If you are going via ebay get it from a reputable dealer's ebay store.
And watch out for the "From Hong Kong" specials.
Far East = Bootleg Capital of the World.

How sad is it that most of the points on that list are things that work on the horrible cheap knock-off but don't work on the real N900?
