AbiWord on 2008 is getting mighty close - if you'd like to help out, contact the AbiWord dev list, or try joining the Maemo Garage project. You might also be interested in the new AbiWord on 2008 thread, which existed entirely without my knowledge to the point that my instructions were used to build a version of AbiWord for 2008 that is buggy but does actually start - go figure! Now I think we've joined forces and will be able to get something nice out soon.

That sounds good... I'm not really hellbent on being able to type up anything amazing but I definitely would love to be able to view these things... Maybe a completely stripped "viewer" would be useful. Of course this viewer would need to be able to render everything perfectly or else it'd defeat its purpose.
