Its strange, because I am using nightly 20 , and I am not able to change profile pic, in fact this is happening since nightly 16 for me.

1. make sure your connection are fast and stable.
2. do not spam button, press once and be patient.

if you got infinite circle, relaunch wazapp and repeat 1.

I tried it using 3G, and I got the squircle going infinitely.

I will try with wifi at home and post pack.

Edit: Could someone please tell me how long it should take to update the profile picture using a good connection ? (12Mbps via wifi at home)

a day or two. whatsapp service should approve your picture with your profile and sign it.

Could we get a "force update" or "retrieve messages" option?

Idon't like it constantly polling for responses, for me, and the way I use it, updating functionality more similar to an email application would be ideal.

Plus, Ithink this would go a long way to reducing it's hunger for battery!

Loving the work either way!
