It depends on device but yeah it can take upto 10mins. Not recommended to do it everyday though as WhatsApp may simply reject your requests after certain limits which I'm not very sure.

I did it as a proof-of-concept only to dispel my own doubts that its tied to one device only.

is there any chance to get smaler videos to wazapp? even if i put the camera settings to VGA low, i just can record 10 seconds...
