Hello Boys & Girls.

Anybody who has a Problem with the Icon, which don"t start Debian LXDE
(or even if you run as user this command)
Code:
/usr/bin/invoker --type=e /bin/opensh -c "debian suxephwm"
Try to change the "Exec" line in
~/.local/share/applications/lxde.desktop
to :
Code:
Exec=/bin/opensh -c "debian suxephwm"
Now the icon works perfect, but I don"t know, why I see all my Files from /home/user/MyDocs on the Debian Desktop ???

Anybody an idea ?

I'm running N9 64GB with e-yes Dualboot Kernel & Inception

Sorry, but AFAIK, open mode kernel could not work with Inception. I am almost sure that I've read this somewhere, but I can't find it now.

Three comments :

1) I wasn't aware that open kernel & inception could work together. Maybe this is a problem;

2) have you applied my fix in post #100 ?

3) can you start softwares outside LXDE, like "oowriter" inside debia root ?

I'm in open mode with inception (don't know how, but works)

I did apply that fix

Everything works fine when executing xephwm, not suxephwm (or the icon) When I execute oowriter from debian root it does work

Thanks

So use xephwm instead of suxephwm in the exec line of the lxde.desktop file for the icon. For me xephwm doesn't work well.

Just so you are all aware, historically, a lot of problems have occurred if you run things in the chroot first as root and then try to run them as user. Files get created with root permissions only, that the user cannot access. A symptom of this is that you can only run apps as root, not as user, or you get errors when you attempt to run as user.

Another source of problems can occur if you don't have all of the proper files copied into your /home/user/.local directory.

I am not in a position to test these scripts with Inception. I'm not sure what to do about this.
