Yes freoffice is the one you are looking for. The name was picked as it is a Maemo 5 based UI layer on top of KOffice

@romanianusa
You need to have latest release (PR1.1), which would update Qt packages for you.
I have to install the latest (and buggy) firmware udate of koffice/freoffice to work properly!?

Is there any way I can update the QT libs without the firmware upgrade?

You need to Install only kofficemaemo & freoffice.

But i would suggest add extra-devel in Application Catalogues Extra-Devel Config for N900

please do not send user to extras devel without a big warning!

only play with extras-devel, if you know how to reflash, and you don't mind to loose any data.

I see...

freoffice depends on kofficemaemo (and therefore pulls it)... Voila...

So I guess installing freoffice (what I did in the first place) was the correct thing to do...

Kofficemaemo eats 6MB out of rootfs; if you uninstall freoffice, you only get 600 KB free, the rest is still there. Need to use apt-get commands to remove the maemo suite too. So, beware of your rootfs when installing freoffice!

If you install freoffice via apt-get command, kofficemaemo will go to rootfs. If installed via app manager, it's space optimized, it'll not eat up from rootfs.
Or was it the archive that occupied that amount of rootfs when dw with apt-get?

It's there in the nokia repositories, not extras (and 0maemo4 is for the release firmware, 0maemo6 is PR1.1).
