mpd on my system plays mp3 with strange clacking noise. According to the forums, solution is to set the default_driver=esd in /etc/libao.conf. But my system (n810 Diablo) have no such a file. What packet should I install?

That solution would be true if you were using mpd, I presume you are not.

Ha! Had mpd_0.12.1-1. New version (0.13.0-3) works fine!

Doh, I'm evidently blind, didn't read the part where you said you were using mpd >.<.

But glad to see you've solved it, I'm sure you'll have found it's part of libao. You can also use alsa09 in libao.conf for normal sound output but esd is more 'true'.
