Extras as in the one linked in this thread? I don't think barrage is available in extras for N900. Only in extras-devel. Chances are if you installed from extras you installed the wrong one (hence it's not working).

but I haven't even installed it yet.. I have all repositories on and the only barrage that appears says the maemo-location-thing is missing...
