The touchscreen of my N900 stopped responding to touch.

Now I am looking for a dead N900 with a functional lcd/touch for replacement parts, or a spare lcd/touch.

I am in Brazil, and I would love to find a N900 nearby.

Please PM me if you are interested.

If you can't find a replacement in Brazil, while Parts4repair.com is in China, their prices are good, the repair parts work, and they ship all over the world.

I have gotten an N9 and an N97 touchscreens from them and am pleased with my ability to fix the broken screens myself.

Here is their Nokia N900 parts which includes touchscreen replacement: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...35#post1276035

Just search for Touch Screen Digitizer on ebay or wherever you're buying from mate. Here the sample from UK, ships worldwide: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nokia-N900-Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Replacement

This is indeed a viable option, and I did try to open the device to replace the digitizer.

However I was not capable of removing 2 of the screws from the back of the lcd, so I stopped before destroying them.

That is the reason I am looking for a spare lcd+digitizer.

What tools are you using for this mate? I've disassembled around 20 n900s so far and never had any problems with those screws. Not sure what else I can suggest really. That's the sort of tools I'm using myself: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tool-For-Nokia-N900

I bought a couple of PH00 screwdrivers for the job. Most of the screws went out fine, but I have a couple that are giving me a bad day.
