There are updated instructions for installing Plasma Active on Asus Nexus 7 tablet. There is an option to install it alongside Android if someone needs to (in addition to installing it as a sole system).

See now I'm torn: Should I wait until May for the next Nexus 7 and then try out Mer or should I just go for instant gratification now?
Decisions, decisions...

You mean they plan to release Nexus 7 with updated specs in May? Even as is it's a pretty decent device.

You never know what hardware they'll put in next time. There is no guarantee that it will play well with Linux (lack of drivers can again be a problem). Current Nexus 7 at least works.

Indeed: even though Asus and Google have been known to play nice by giving the ability to unloack their bootloaders, one can never be sure.

Anyways, I couldn't wait so I got the Nexus 7. Tomorrow I dual boot Mer!
Finally I get Plasma on a reasonably priced tablet!

Congratz and condolences!

Sound off in the forums about your experience. I may also jump ship... but I'm pretty happy with the NOTE at the moment.
