After various attempts and unsuccessful gmail access, broken picture files, frozen screens and occasionally slow response, I have decided to move on to the Sony Xperia Z (beautiful phone).

Thank you Maemo community for helping to make my N900 experience so much more fun and enriching. As my N900 is still in good condition, I'm trying to figure out what to do with it (selling is NOT an option).

as it is no longer your main phone why not enable CSSU-Devel and help in testing Maemo fixes.

Yes, CSSU should fix the Gmail issue, possibly others.

While I don't want to discourage you by helping on development (by any means),. consider, that proper evaluating of CSSU-devel fixes/bugs is much harder than things, that you just failed to achieve.

I mean, that if you've failed to fix gmail access, broken pictures etc - which are amongst most trivial things to fix permanently, to be honest - you may have great trouble properly detecting and reporting cssu-devel bugs.

Of course, all of this may be easily overcome by learning, but then, you wouldn't have any problems with glitches, that made you change your device so circle loops here.

No disrespect or mocking meant, just honest opinion.
