this card is SDXC, not SDHC.... not sure if the n900 supports SDXC

if it is sdhc then the n900 will definetly (i think support) if it is sdxc then who knows ps if it doesnt work just a mem card reader + hostmode cable

If you look at the way a microsd / sd adaptor is wired its pretty straightforward and with some ribbon cable and some creativity with a old microsd card you can make a large capacity sd work.

The issue I have is space!

So what will come first... the N9/50 or a 64GB SDXC :|

I'm not sure how close to market this is but I'd probably bet on the SDXC card hitting shelves before the N9/50

if you are going to solder anyway, why dont you use the usb contacts under the battery? Then you can have 32g emmc + 32g μSD + 128g SDXC

200GB on a phone

Apparently, the HSMMC driver supports the large cards.
SD is simply GPIO to the OMAP3 CPU, so it's probably all in the software. I'm putting my money on it being able to support SDXC.

So confirmed from germany that it worked white the sandisk micro sdxc but white 4 gb file limit in fat32

You could format the card with ext2 instead of fat32 to get around the 4GB file size limit.
