Where's a good place to dump some files for the public?
I would suggest ask MahammedAG for hosting it
Otherwise upload it to Mediafire

Maybe it's just really slow? I haven't used gtk gui at all, so it might be that. I used qt and sdl gui's.

@mece
I'm talking about this:

what compile options did you use mece?or to be more general did you compile in support for multiple renderers or just cairo?

so, to summarize my experiense, based on using most combinations of compile options (didn't try qt gui):

it works with agg only, no hw acceleration, AS support is on about flash 8 level.

when used with gtk gui and cairo renderer (i.e no video) my 900 mhz clocked cpu is used on about 50% - 70%, which means to me that if we somehow acheve HW accelerated rendering it will become useful.

E: BTW i played with gcc options too ( -mcpu, -mfpu, auto vectorization, etc) with no visible difference in playing 320x240 youtube video, cpu remains constantly on 100%, sorry

Are you building git master or openvg-branch (or some other)?

What is your configure line?

I tried this on scratchbox2 with branch release_0_8_9:

Code:
./configure --prefix=/opt/gnash --disable-plugins --disable-menus --enable-gui=gtk --enable-renderer=gles --enable-media=GST --disable-testsuite --enable-hwaccel=omap
(It is not claiming HW acceleration is used)

Compilation ends with gcc (cc1plus) Internal Error after 3 hours compiling.

And about Lightspark (http://sourceforge.net/projects/lightspark/) , it needs GCC-4.4. Maemo-sdk has GCC-4.2.1.

the omap hwaccel doesn't exist and the gles renderer doesn't exist, so that's why you can't compile if you only choose those. I compiled from master.

Anyway, I think I'll leave this be for now since the bits that we want are not implemented. If someone wants to, they can try some earlier releases where xv hwaccel was still present.
One of the developers said "It didn't really accelerate anything and it corrupted the output" but who knows. Might be better on omap

Why does it say it support omap if it doesn't?

From gnash usermanual:
HWAccel string Specify the type of Hardware Video Decoder. Currently only vaapi, omap, xv or none are supported. None disables any acceleration support (the default).
