Unfortunately the guy who ported us Evince has chosen to abandon this community. It would be good if some other skilled developer could take the responsibility of maintaining the port, even in view of Meego. Thanks in anticipation for every effort in this direction!

Man, the workaround for me was use the adobe acrobat pro and crop the margins, it work... Also have a feature to auto remove the white margins, but in my book didn't worked too good, you can test with yours.
hope it help.

There is one feature from xdvi that I miss on all other paper like viewing platforms (for pdf, djvu, postscript, etc). When hitting the character 'm' then the application stores the paper coordinate under the upper left corner and when afterwards flipping pages, it will put the same coordinate in the upper left corner. This takes care of white margins (unless they are different on odd and even pages).

Btw, no reason to buy acrobat pro to strip margins and generate a margin free file. You can do it with ghostscript as well. Possibly even on the n900 itself.

Is anyone still maintaining Evince for Maemo5?

It would be nice when in fullscreen mode to have a hidden lower-right corner toggle to exit fullscreen mode, conforming with fullscreen modes in the OEM web browser, etc.
I've forgotten the Ctrl-Enter exit a couple of times.
