I just moved to yet another country. I picked up a local data-only SIM card. When I put it in my N900, I only see one of the services: "[Provider] Internet postpaid". I get a connection error when I attempt to connect to that.

When I put the SIM in my Nokia E63, I see eight different services, including "[Provider] Internet prepaid". That is the service I want. (The other six options are MMS, Streaming, and WAP in pre- and post-paid.)

Now, how do I get my N900 to see and connect over the service I want (Internet Prepaid), rather than the first listed service (Internet Postpaid)? I want to use the device to generate a Wifi cloud, so I can share my connection.

Once I found out that the technical term for what I was calling a "service" is really an "Access Point Name", finding the package was trivially easy. fAPN.

Too bad about the name, though.
