Hey guys, just checking to see if anyone knows of any good Linux, Maemo or other FOSS/Linux shows and conventions worth listing. I've already built a complete list of all currently known shows here: http://www.raiden.net/shows/

However, there's no Maemo stuff in there, and I'm pretty certain I haven't gotten all of the shows out there yet. If you guys know of any, let me know, as I'd like to expand the list a bit more, and make it more or less a grand high list of all Linux, FOSS, Maemo, and other associated shows and conventions.

So if you know of one and it's not on that list, please post what it is an a link to their site so I can add it. Thanks.

FYI this isn't an Offtopic subject at all, but General (or Community).

Ah, good info. Thanks. I'll look that through and update my list. If you wanna toss this thread in general, that'd be fine.

http://lwn.net/Calendar/ is always a good source of upcoming FOSS/Linux events.

Another good resource: http://www.linux-magazine.com/Resources/Event-Calendar

AFAIK there's no plans for a Barcelona Long weekend in 2010, so the information in your website is misleading.

You should include the Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit, which overlaps a day with the ELC (and attending ELC gets you into the summit) and has a keynote from Jaaksi, along with a day-long MeeGo workshop that Thursday.

It's not -Maemo-, but it is where Maemo (and thus, we) are going.

VDVsx: Thanks for the link. The Barcelona page is there as a placeholder to remind me to go back and check to see if it's gonna happen. If not, then I'll recycle it for something else.

Got my invitation, and sure hope I am!

Oh wait, you meant in a broader sense.

Well that too :P

I'm trying to see if I can't finagle a company sponsored trip down from Sacramento to attend it. Or I'll opt out of having work pay and spend the $70 on a hobbyist ELC registration and register for the Collaboration Summit myself
