Hey guys,

So last night I set two alarms for 7:26 and 7:30 as i always do and turned my phone off. I always turn my phone off at night.

This morning I woke up and it was bright and i realised my alarm did not go off.

I tried to turn the phone on by holding power button, the white light came on and the small vibration(like normal), Nokia logo showed up and the phone turned itself off. So I thought it was dead battery, I plugged in to charge(wall socket) and nokia logo showed up and phone re-booted and came back on. And it's just stuck in re-booting, It comes on shows nokia logo and goes off and then comes back on and just repeats that

Anyone had this before?? how to fix this?

Thank you

Did you install any tweak or mess around with some settings? It could be a reboot loop...

If you've messed with something and know what it is then use the following:

do the following using cmd on your pc:

run cmd as admin
cd c:/program files/nokia/flasher

Code:
flasher --enable-rd-mode --set-rd-flags=no-lifeguard-reset
now once it boots up you can reverse the tweak/mod and it should work.

also once you've managed to reverse it in cmd enter:

Code:
flasher --disable-rd-mode

no everything is vanilla i haven't installed anything apart apps.

I was able to use flasher and i did the following

Opened terminal path to flasher and used
Code:
flasher -i
and then connected my N9, the flasher gave this output:
Code:
E:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher>flasher -i
flasher 3.12.1 (Oct 6 2011) Harmattan
WARNING: This tool is intended for professional use only. Using it may result

and it's not rebooting Nokia logo is constantly on, there is a USB logo on the top right corner and the while led is on. Do you think phone will be able to charge this way?

Ok in that case you can try charging your phone using flasher...maybe it has lost the battery reserve power too...

What you can do is just input the commands for a flash:

flasher -f -F rootfs.bin

If your device gets detected and has lost its reserve power, a message will pop up that the phone is charging...at 11% of battery, flashing commences so just plug it out at 10% and then use a wall unit to charge it...

this is similar to giving the n9 a kickstart...

ok open cmd.exe as admin

cd c:\program files\nokia\flasher [assuming this is where flasher is installed]

flasher -f -F rootfs.bin [rootfs is the main file that you use to flash your phone]

nope rootfs.bin has to be downloaded from Navifirm for your product code,

the name should be DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM

Edit: Once downloaded just copy it over to in your case e:\program files\nokia\flasher\

For easy operation you might want to rename it to rootfs.bin or just keep it as original there is absolutely no difference...

Thanks downloading now, So what i do now is

I cope the DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM file to flasher directory

Open command line as Admin

go the flasher directory

use this command : flasher -f -F rootfs.bin

plug the phone in

Hope it connects and starts charging, once it hits 10% unplug from pc and plug it in to the wall charger, and then fully charge it

right?
