Hi,

I have two IM accounts configured on my N900:

1) Gtalk
2) Jabber

When I click on the "online" button under "availability", it automatically signs me online under both Gtalk and Skype.

Is there a way where I can only sign in under Gtalk and not Jabber when I want?

Disable jabber. Just tap it and uncheck enabled.

No need to disable an account.
You can define a new status and select for every account a different mode (online, offline, available ...)

Hi Nicolai,

I tried your way, but it didn't work for me.
I guess disabling the account is the way to do it?

I think you need to actually press save after tapping availability status for it to change, feel weird indeed.

1. Click 'Availbility' from the Status menu
2. Click on the account listed at the botton that you want to disable (e.g. jabber)
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Account page.
4. Click 'Enabled' - i.e. make sure there is no check mark next to enabled.
5. Click Save
6. Click Save again

That does not work. The online status and modes apply to all active IM accounts at once.

You can edit a status (new one) to switch the statusof each account to a specified value. I use this on a new status 'Calls Only' to allow only Skype and SIP accounts, leaving the others busy or offline.
