ok been following these instructions -

and all has been going well.

im down the the actual flashing part now, so the bit titled WINDOWS.

phone is connect, ive got a little USB thing in the corner of the phone screen. im tyring flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f but nothing it happening.

why?

only thing i can see that might be a problem is when i turned the phone on holding the U key windows didnt install the device properly or so it said.

help?

ok ok my bad

sorted the file issue now but said usb device not found

so this goes back to my problem of the phone not being installed

im using windows 7 64bit

i will suggest you to use Win 7 32 bit. it install drivers perfectly. and if you dont have any system running Win 7 32 bit version and search this forum there are some thread where you can find informations on how to install drivers for Win 7 64 bit. Best of Luck.

used and xp machine and flashed fine but i still have my problem.

every time i try and make a call i get connection error

Not that I have experience with flashing from windows but why are you using such an outdated firmware? the latest one is something like 20.2010.36-2.

Then again if you're using windows, have you tried using the nokia/ovi suite?

i think connection error occurred when we install wrong country image

for example i bought N900 from india and i flashed it by a globle image i had the similar problem. then i used indian firmware and start making calls

also check in settings> phone> "send my caller ID" there select "let network choose"

once upon a time i changed my caller ID to "yes" and i got the same problem

someone wanna help me?

i flash the firmware 100%, thats fine but when i go flash the mmc, it says waiting for suitable usb and it just stays there....

that problem comes in win 7, vista or xp

so use linux to get a flawless emmc flash!!!!!!!!!!!

eMMC first then fiasco images...that the way for a clean device after re-flash....
