I see you have the SDK repositories enabled on-device. From what I've read, this is not supposed to work, but I'd love to have gcc et al. like I had on my N810. Have you seen any big problems with this setup?

I haven't seen problems with it, but I'm not sure I've installed much from there on the device itself. I don't have gcc and such installed.

I think the n900 comes with perl already installed. Nothing in the base system is optified.

Finally i succed to install maemotex on my n900.

I just followed the post: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...aemotex&page=2
abd followed the instructions of the user "ta-t3"

after instaling you should create a ".profile".file and add the next line:
PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/maemotex/070802/bin/armel-maemo

hope this help someone.
