Can I ask .. what is GCC??

also your issue seems to be more direct to a calender problem, while mine is with email. as you can see from the screenshot, my calender is working great. Just my email application does not start.

anyone know how can I reinstall Mfe?

i tried reinstalling modest.. no go.

reinstalled kernel .. no go

HELP!!!!
It's the GNU C Compiler... I knew it might not be related to your problem, but that was my only experience with this annoying message (For me Calendar)

Both answer to how to reinstall MfE (activesync) and question about endless loop while creating MfE account.

Some time ago, my MfE stopped working, and after several try+error (delete accounts included) I decided to uninstall it.

# apt-get search activesync
as-daemon-0 - Mail for Exchange. Daemon application.
libas-protocol-0 - Mail for Exchange. Activesync protocol library.
status-area-applet-activesync-0 - Mail for Exchange status bar applet.

# apt-get remove as-daemon-0 libas-protocol-0 status-area-applet-activesync-0
(also removed as-config-applet-0 camel-as-provider-0)

Then I rebooted the device, and reinstalled the same packages.
But MfE still doesn't work.
When I try to create a new account in MfE, input the account information in first form, hit next, and it takes forever, not going forward to server details (name, port).
If I look into logs (detailed logs are enabled), I can see it is in a loop around address book and calendar account preparation.

Regards,
Rafa.

thanks for all your help guys.
eventually

I backed up my device (using N900 backup application on the phone.) to the memory card

reflashed my phone using OVi

restored backup.

everything worked fine. The backup even downloaded all my apps again .. wooohoo.

Also my battery life increased sooo much.

I used to get 6 to 8 hours of battery. I always thought this was cause I had my gmail, hotmail and exchange on 'alwasy on' sync VIA 3G.

But after reflashing, my battery now is more than 2 days. yahh

BTW, I did not reinstall any facebook apps.

What I did:

- uninstall with Faster Application Manager (FAM) QMF mail client AND QMF plugin for Facebook social network
- I got an error while uninstalling.
- After this I did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade in X-terminal

And then the Mail client works fine^^

I have this problem, but with the Contacts application. I tried to remove and reinstall osso-addressbook, and reflashed both the eMMC and firmware, but the problem still persists. Even if I don't open the Contacts application, the Internal error message appears. When I try to open the application, a window opens, but crashes soon thereafter.

How do I fix this?
