I would like to see goldendict ported on freemantle. It has been ported on diablo, and there were people working on porting it on fremantle here http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1221183. At the moment I use QStarDict and MStarDict, but both have a limited set of options.

Quick reply...
There seems to be Goldendict for Fremantle in Extras-devel. http://maemo.org/packages/view/goldendict/ As a dictionary, it's unlikely to damage your device. I expect that it works quite well - I have used it, for a long time, and the only annoyance is no-pictures-showing-themselves (text is fine). Though, I could not get to Options-Preferences through the graphical user interface. But the file with settings is human-readable, and can be edited in Leafpad-Vim-Emacs-whatever.
Best wishes.

A port/update for xchat, which could be replaced with hexchat (preferably with script support) and an update for Claws mail (I know there is an update to 3.9.0 but it is not in the repository).
And a printer driver, so I can print pdf files or something directly using bluetooth/wifi.

It says fixed in 2.2009.51-1 but is definitely an issue for me in 21.2011.38-1 (+CSSU +Thumb).

Related bugs (possible duplicates):

Modest in CSSU is completly broken. That patch was not included in CSSU version, but in PR1.3 yes.

Now I commited that patch (with some other missing) to CSSU git repo.

i'm slowly working my way through the list.

OpenRA - sdl2 needed but failed to build. Needs updated compiler IIRC. will double check.

Jasper - needs thumb compiler. Built most deps but need fortran for one which isn't part of thumb gcc suite. don't want mixed versions. I will put it in current state on dropbox if I haven't already.

CorsixTH - needs a few patches as 0.30 has some issue in makefile locating LICENSE (done) and in dh_installdocs locating README. Also currently needs movies disabled because of missing ffmpeg module (libswresample). Nearly ready for testing.

Mussorgsky - optified. Test build in Mussorgsky thread.

There are a few others that are duplicated (HTML5 support/ updated browser) and some like conboy I don't get point of.

We need a working port of the Allegro library, if anyone is able to take a deeper look at it.

If there were an easy way to meter how much an app takes up in / vs /opt it would be brilliant, FApMan only categorizes by total app size including what goes to /opt; not helpful for diagnosing solving the root overload problem.

Done.

The version required for most games, and initially ported by Aapo Rantalainen, is liballegro4.4 (4.4.2).

This will help porting many games from desktop Linux or Open Pandora.

With regards to Petittrack:
QPEApplication referenced in main.cpp
qpe/config.h mentioned in petittrack.h

All other qt stuff seems pretty standard. All *propagator files don't use any qt, it is only in main and petittrack.cpp/h.

edit: found some interesting reading so i'll give this a shot over weekend.
