Thanks dirkvl, would you be able to export a version from SolidWorks in .stl format for the 3d printing folks?

Thanks! Hopefully the models will include at least a marking in the points of the OH facing the i2c and power connectors.

Updated with the usb-hole, 3.5-jack and the dimpels for the i2c connectors etc!

Just 3d-printed a test version of the OH shape kindly provided by dirkvl.
The more I look at them the less I'm happy with the plastic clips that Jolla used to hold the OH.

To convert the file to a printable .stl I did the following:
- installed a free version of SolidWorks eDrawings
- loaded the .sldprt file and saved as .stl
- opened the result with netfabb-basic (free)
- scaled the part on all axis by a factor 1000.0
- rotated the part 90 degrees on X and on Z axis (so to have it flat, inner side up and with the long edge along the printbed width)
- saved the result and printed

So, how well does your self-printed OH fit the Jolla?
As I see it, the clips hold up pretty decent in original OH's, but the material used by (at least da el-cheapo-)3D printers probably does not meet the strength of the original molded pieces...

It won't be the first. Other people have been making them in Finland. https://twitter.com/unpixels/status/...180096/photo/1

Could you make the .stl file available somewhere?

That blue is wonderously beautiful and also translucent! Nice!
