Hey guys,

Long time lover of the N900 (primary phone since 2010) and wish to keep using this amazing device. Been lurking on these forums and decided to sign up finally.

I use the FM transmitter a lot during driving and only now I feel that I could easily have 32 to 64 gb additional storage quite easily.

The reason why I made this thread rather than referring to the old ones is that I wanted to know which sd cards have held up well over time. I plan on using it for music as well as playing back of videos.

Could you guys suggest some good and hopefully cheap cards (both 64 and 32 gb versions). I was thinking of getting from newegg.

Thanks in advance!

64GB Sandisk microSDXC UHS-1

32GB Sandisk microSDXC UHS-1

The above cards are:
Well-performing cards? Yes.
Very reliable cards? Yes.
Pricey cards? Yes.

(*) NOTE: The third most-recommended card for the N900 is this, which isn't all that cheaper than the faster UHS-1 version.

Thanks for the ultra fast reply! I checked out the 32 gb one and it seems to have a very high failure rate. Any other UHS type alternatives?

Thank you for that wiki link. I did not know there was a N900 accessories wiki. Very helpful.

"There's a wiki for that" should be my new motto.

It's also worth to mention, that in case for boosting N900 performance via swap on microSD, class 4 SanDisk (old ones, before two-coloured version) are performing best. You can find ones up to 32 GB, most likely, used (but wear shouldn't be a problem, if you buy from someone presenting bad block test with al green, and you can confirm it yourself. Most users don't ride those high-capacity cards to death, using them on camera etc only, not for swap, like us ).

I second samsung cards if you're using it for storing music and such.
I have a class 6 16 gb and 32gb and still working fine one year later.

I also got a kingston class 4 32gb card from a store, it got corrupted after 5 minutes of tranferring data, so I got a refund and stuck with samsung cards since
