if you do little research on n900 you will see and hear that the platform will be promoted for some time to come.
further more you cant put n8 and n900 in the same basket... just like when people were putting n97 and n900 together. it a total mismatch.

Symbian = boring, uneventful
Maemo = something new every day

12 megapixels with Carl Zeiss lens?! N8 is a real camera and camcorder!

To the previous poster - replcae Maemo with Meego and the N900 with the official Meego device and then I can agree. Maemo is on the way out so between N900 (with Maemo) and N8 its the N8 which will be the vibrant device - of course provided Nokia doesnt botch it up like the N97.
