Hi,

Nokia has released 3 different designs for the Nokia U, and there is a poll to choose what is your favorite :
http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/...sketches-poll/

It's too bad that there is no hardware keyboard...
And it's too bad that it seems that the nokia U will never exist, and is just a test to see what the customers like...

I don't think I much like any of those designs. They all look terribly unoriginal and uninteresting.

I think Nokia actually KNOWS what customers like and NEED.
But they are only interested in our desires when they want to sell another phone.
I suppose it's their point of view about a "participative community", fix our software, fix our guides (lol), chose our designs... and we take your money.
Sorry, but too bad Nokia.

There is clearly a lack of innovation in these 3 designs.
..
In the third one they made the mistake they already made in the N900 : a protection for the lens that is not integrated in the casing... so when you put the phone on a table and type on it, it's not stable.
Genius are working for Nokia

At first voters hadn't the choice of all the options
It was impossible to vote for a device with a big screen, great camera, thin and with a hardware keyboard, some stupid limitations where put by nokia, and they changed it later, but too late;
So ok the specs have been voted by the community, but with a very limited choice...

121.6 x 64.4 x 14.9 mm

Looks like (C) is the Nokia device most likely to be mistaken for an iPhone. That's original. - NOT! All they need do is make the button on the bottom round and the apple kool-aid drinkers will flock to it.

Looks like (A) is a lot like the N8. again, not so original

(B) is different but not inspiring. As pointed out elsewhere - where is the freakin' keypad!

So 8mm body with 4x optical zoom? Must be nokia's response to the HTC Magic.
