so to make it even easier for all to change and test new frequencies a shell script was made!
and please if you are new at over-clocking then read this
okay so now all you got to do is:

1. install "rootsh" also can be found in the app manager
2. unzip and move the file attached to MyDocs in your N900
3. open the terminal and type in the folowing:
Code:
sudo gainroot
sh /home/user/MyDocs/oc-script
4.you will get this:

note: -in case you dont have the power kernel installed the script will auto detect and install it
-you just need to do the 4th step from the second use onwards
-you can type in the code
Code:
help
to get the instructions

okay so lets say you want a starving configuration with max. frequency of 950
just type
Code:
c 9
and so on...
Note: after reboot your phone will go back to the default settings
so to set the frequency above as the new default just type in :
Code:
c 9 g
its recommended to test the new frequency before making it the new default

and thats it,
few letters and you are all done

now simple enough to uninstall the power kernel you will find an icon in the main menu that will auto deinstall it
and then delete the oc-script from MyDocs

Disclaimer - You are fully responsible for any damage / problems caused by overclocking. Not anyone else.
special thanks for AlMehdi with his help about the detecting code

which option did you choose?
because i have 2 n900s and they both worked fine
and i had some friends to try it, all worked perfectly
plus the script is just a few commands and has no reboot option what so ever

plus maybe the frequency you might of used does not suit your phone
so try another one
