You missed one word:
dpkg -l | grep developer-mode

I Dl'd the first armel.deb. Installed and dl'd additional 9.9mb. Then went to activate the Dec mode toggle and it wired saying could not install sure to conflict with other pkgs.

Dl And installing now the second armel.deb.

It us only 2Kb but has been installing for 10 min now and it is still not done.

This is a Finland device on pr1.1 20.2011.40-5_100

I had this the other week. I simply performed soft reset SEttings>Reset settings and everything went to normal, allowing me to install dev mode again

I am guilty of changing the default "rootme" password and not remembering. Is there a way to reset? After reading through the thread, I'm not certain if I missed something or not but I don't see a solution to issue. Outside of going to the Nokia Service Center, is there a way to reset the Meego Terminal password?

Thank you in advance to anyone for any advice...I know I'm shooting myself in the foot for not remembering

easy solution for that, run following 2 commands and enter new root password:

opensh
passwd
