How can i debug or view log for this error.
Thks!
Hmm. There is a bug in Xbmc that if you close it, it doesn't free the remote control port (9999). If you restart immediately after it, it doesn't work. Then you have to wait for a few minutes and restart xbmc again to make it work. Try this.

You can also run xbmcremote with "-d connection" to print more debug output about the connection.

Hi, @mzanetti,
I tried, on my N9, port 9999 not used (netstat -ltn), xbmcremote report:
Code:
connecting
QCoreApplication::postEvent: Unexpected null receiver
connecting to "Titan" "192.168.0.55" "" (using password: false )
socket error: "Connection refused"
And my XBMC network set to default:
using: HTTP
port: 8080
user: xbmc
pass: <null>
P/S: Why i dont see password field on New Host Screen (v1.3.0beta1).
Thks.

Port 9999 should be used on the Xbmc host, not on the N9. If you get a connection refused there's something wrong with your Xbmc box. Maybe a firewall or invalid settings.

The password field will pop up automatically if your Xbmc requires authentication.

Hi

Thanks for the update.
- Is the vibrating in the keypad coming back?
- Can we disable TV Channels in the main screen? I don't have the hardware and I would like to disable it.
- I've noticed sometimes my xbmc installation starts to scroll through lists like crazy, as if it was receving a lot of 'move' events, usually goes away by moving the pad in another direction, not sure if it's a remote bug or xbmc's bug.

Thanks a lot, looking fwd to the final release

Beta2 should fix those issues: http://notyetthere.org/data/xbmcremo...tan0_armel.deb

Unfortunately I also got a bug report about a wrong string (the one that helps setting up the first connection). As that one is quite important to get right for new starters, I had to upload a new translation file :/ As I had to change a string anyways, I took the chance to add the option to disable parts of the main screen.

Repositories are currently down.

I can discover a host with no issues, but when I click Connect, nothing happens - it drops me back to the same screen you get when you click Cancel. This happens with 1.3.0 beta 1 and 2, and whether I add a host manually or via zeroconf. It did work the first time I tried, but hasn't since. Any idea if this is the same problem, or a separate bug?
