One question,as I don't have a 3d printer, I don't know this... Does the 3d printer paint the printed thing, or you have to do it after the printing?

Includes all the hook, snaps, guides and holes. Perhaps later a 3D model of the rest of the phone! (if you guys have been sweet this year)
Can You please convert it to 2012 version?
Thanks

From the .stl provided by dirkvl, I have created a WebGL model.
You can view (and manipulate) it here, with a WebGL enabled browser.

While you can see the model on the Jolla, you are currently better off using a computer with mouse/trackpad (I still have to learn about how to do touchscreen interaction).

Update: Changed color. Changed default orientation.

3D printed plastic always ends up looking a bit cheap IMHO.

We need someone with a CNC router and some blocks of titanium. ;-)

Aluminum is good enough Thread dully noted, will give it a try after backcover/body replacement for N900 project finalize.

I envy skill with 3D modeling, it's pity that I haven't had such contributor for N900's body and (already recreated, painstakingly, in g-codes) backcover. Project would be finished months ago.

Cheers,
/Estel

I made that one. Model can be found from here: https://github.com/skvark/TheOtherHalf

It's optimized for my printer and it took about 15 revisions to get it right so I don't guarantee that other printers will print it like my did. 3D printing is mostly trial and error stuff. Other plastics and layer resolutions may produce different results.

Ordered one from Sculpteo, now let's see if it will fit. Will report back when it arrives.

A bit high

You can check at the site by uploading the STL - depends on the material, but starts at about $30+ with shipping.
