I mirror my previous request, that I made for N900, only this time for N9(50).

Having a musical tool in my pocket has slowly became to be one of my main reasons to have a smart phone, but the only phone that has choice of musical applications, doesn't have a decent camera, which is another source for my phone gas.

My programming skills are barely on "hello world" -level, and I know absolutely nothing about DSP's, but Korgs latest(couple of years old) analog modelling synths processor got me startled. I noticed it uses TMS320VC5502 @ 300 MHz, and it is rather feature rich synth! I don't know, but didn't N800 use that kind of DSP?

This DSP thing intrigues me to the point of getting no sleep. What kind of DSP does iPhones have, or do iPhones apps use any DSP at all? Could it be possible to make no. 1 mobile synth with N9?

Besides having a portable composition tool, a mobile synth could also work as an effects device. Perhaps the DSP could be put to good use here? Right now I'm looking to buy a leslie cabinet simulator to boost my credibility as an organist, and these devices alone can cost over 200€. Millions of guitarists search for new distortions, delays and reverbs and are willing to spend big money on them. Having a good multi effect device around, that would fit in a pocket, would make many manufacturers sweat.

Edit

Could it be possible to make VST Host!!!!????!!!!

Aha!

Yet another:

But still no sequencer!!! Come on!

Musical applications would be one of the N9's strong points in the dual core demanding media climate, as I guess that the DSP could be put to good use here.

I heard, that some one ported Lmms to Pandora, which has similar soc than N9, but with a quarter of Ram. Wouldn't that be nice to see in N9? That would be almost everything a musician would want in his pants.

This could help getting DSP things started:

I tried to install Sunvox N900 version 1.6 to N9 but this failed due to missing dependencies. Truly speaking, I did not assume it to work but gave a try anyway. I then sent a comment about this to NightRadio (programmer of Sunvox) in his forum (warmplace.ru). He asked details about what are these missing dependencies so he might be willing to port Sunvox to N9. That would be awesome!!!

The problem is, I cannot tell him what the missing dependencies are. I presume this can be seen from syslog file but I do not know where and how to find it in N9.

Maybe some reader could help with this?

Sunvox looks amazing. Unfortunately I can't install the sunvox .deb. I'm missing libsdl1.2... What should I do now?
