OK, so just got me an N9/16GB.
Question is, where to begin.
Purchased it from Amazon and it came from Italy.
First question is: Firmware. Where do I download it to flash it? I've found this http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...00&postcount=1
But which is the latest? On device I have 10.2011.34-1_PR_001.

A lot of things don't work, which I'm aware of, due to the demise of Nokia.
I'd like to switch on developer mode for access to Terminal and other useful bits. But the device can't find the necessary files.
And AccuWeather can't find my location, which is in the UK. (seems to be locked to Helsinki).

Any help would be appreciated.

You will want to flash firmware (emmc and main) from first link in that post. Those are UK/Ireland.

Second, you need to replace dead Nokia repositories. For how-to look in this thread:

Thanks.
Time to get my hands dirty.
I was surprised when it arrived. I was expecting something about the size of the Jolla.

Silently, I still hope that some one out there is developing a native Telegram client and/or is working on a solution for Whatsup.

I still don't give up hope

Not interested in that on the N9. I've got a Jolla that could run any number of whatscrap apps. If I wanted it to.

Thanks for the help guys.

All up and running. Quite a neat little phone. Smaller than the Jolla, which I wasn't expecting. Was expecting them to be of a similar size.
Had dozens of peeps already say to me.
"Ah! You got a Lumia"

"No I f*****g aint. I got a genuine Nokia"

Wish I'd have got one of these earlier.

I am happy that you like the N9. The Lumia 800 is basically an N9 but running Windows, and maybe some different hardware inside.

I have had my N9 64 gig since 2013 and I still use it as my main phone.
