So about that animated home screen wallpaper "sine waves". What are they? Is it some binary black box or is it similar to an Xscreensaver hack file?

Yeah, what I'm getting to is the insinuation that these sine waves could be the blue print for loaded our own custom live wallpapers to the N9. Just need to figure out what the format is....

It called "homescreen settings" and has an option for animated wallpaper called sine waves, comes in multiple colours and brightness and its awesome

It would be really nice to see an option for our own animated images I still try to figure how we can do it using this app.

Imagine they are just .gif files we can replace with our own. Anyone know the directory url?

they are not SWF nor GIF, i tried to replace it too, lets ask the owner

Good ideal. Soooo..... anyone know how to contact them?

Not sure where I read it, but early on I read something about home screen settings that lead me to believe that the sine waves are made available as a background option in that application, but that application did not install them.

This insinuates that the sine waves were in the PR1.1 and newer firmware, but not made accessible to the user by default.

If true, the author of home screen settings may not know how they work, but they were able to at least locate and identify the sine waves. Since identifying what kind of data the sine waves are is what we need to do, it would be a great start to get such information from them.

i will check again for the files, i supposed that before, the files are not installed by the app but it takes them from the firmware
