It's not new. I started it almost 2 years ago and abandoned it about a year ago.

I didn't have enough time, so other people started to work on a new UI for it, called //Enigma, so that I don't have to work on the UI anymore.
//Enigma never made it to a usable state, however, so the whole project stalled.
But hey, it's open source! Feel free to make anything useful out of the pieces!

If you take our build tools, then yes, it's x86 code for the WeTab.
But you can build the stuff on top of Nemo, too. It's all still Qt4.8, though.

How did you come up with the name? Why not seabuz or sailfish or CosmOS.

Seadot OS is the pronunciation of "C.OS", which stands for Community OS and was the winner of a name poll.
Also, "Sea" is the english word for "Mer", and Seadot is based on Mer.
