Symbian's not young and fresh like *nix then?

GTFO yourself you zealot. Take a look at this

And this. WP has 1% share on statcounter in Europe. Not much, but a twice as much as 4 months ago.

WP is slowly gaining overall, and with the Amazon sales of the L900 it should be pretty obvious that Nokia is not dead - yet. Nokia has yet to release the L900 in most of Europe, but the big one will be the release of the L610. The L610 is the first easy going (grandma-approved) and cheap smartphone to be released ever.

Then later on this phone (presumably the Lumia PureView) will be released. Fancy looks, like it or hate it, but that device will sell. If the rumors are correct.

A common mistake among the not so bright is to extrapolate from what is. For instance, Nokia is going down on the charts and WP is overshadowed by iOS and Android - therefore WP+Nokia will fail. WP+Nokia may still fail, but only if MS and Nokia fail to deliver what they promise. So far that is not the case.

The "not so bright" actually say things like "like it or not this is how it's going to be" based on no evidence and no reason, the bright ones extrapolate from data. That's not to say things aren't going to change but his data and logic is more concrete than yours. I guess by your logic symbian was on the up too in December.

He posted a general trend, real data, not posting the same "Lumia tops amazon, but only on contract phones and only on AT&T" when it already has been addressed three times in this thread.
Once again, the Lumia 900 near its release date is being outsold at the moment.
The best sellers are on the right:

The Droid RAZR Maxx is currently number one though I presume it will work its way up as it's release date was not long ago and as AT&T continue to try and convince people that their new exclusive phone is the thing to have. The hype will then die down then Nokia will release another mediocre phone with yet another old feature added, then rinse and repeat to profit.

Lumia 900 is not available unlocked, but only with a plan at the moment. That is why you dont see it in the total bestseller list!!!!

This may change depending on when you look at it, but even on the "cellphone with plan" sales rankings it's third to the RAZR MAXX (Verizon) and the Galaxy Nexus (Verizon).

No its not. You are wrong. You need to go to phones with service plans, bestsellers, and both black and cyan are on top of the list.

Two things. First, here's the actual price for the phone at Amazon:

$20 for existing AT&T customers with a two year contract extension.

$50 for new customers with a two year contract.

Not free, but up to $210 cheaper than the next highest trending phone. The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX costs $230 for existing Verizon customers; $200 for new customers. With two year contracts, of course.

Second, transients aren't trends. This more closely resembles an overly hyped movie weekend. Windows fans finally got a decent, cheap handset, but now things will probably settle back down. Pondered more optimistically here:

No Denying Strong Lumia Debut at AT&T

Now the question is whether the strong early sampling will turn into sustained surge of Windows smartphones in America. This is the last chance saloon – according to comScore, Windows smartphone market share in America plunged sharply to less than 4% in February 2012.

so seperate prepaid too? You said unlocked, Like I said the link I provided is for amazon and specifically for mobiles and offers better filters for the bestsellers. It is also updated every time you refresh the page rather than hourly. I'm not even sure why you are fixated on this very specific statistic anyway but if you want the latest and most flexible bestseller tracker the link I provided is fine.

So... nobody is commenting on how the Lumia 900 and how there's already a glitch and fix out and Nokia is giving anybody $100 for buying one by April 21st...

Don't know if the Lumia 900 release is a fail, epic fail, or something that only danramos can label... "ultra-mega fail" perhaps?
