Single transferrable vote, the system we use allows every voter to cast one vote. If the candidate they chose gets eliminated the vote is transferred to their next preference. This makes no sense in case of two candidates, but the system is still like that.

It actually makes no sense for only one "winner". alas the interface doesn't change depending on number of winners defined for the vote. No matter if you vote one out of two, one out of 8, or 5 out of 7, the web interface always works the same. For one winner votes only the top (#1) of your selection counts.

I added a TEST election for you to test and practice.
It's moot, you're free to ignore it, it has no consequences whatsoever.
Works with same token as the other 2013-Q1/2 elections (actually I cloned the still untouched token table for BoD election).

Some remarks:
in "Step 2/4 - Choose your vote" you can remove candidates from "Preferences" by clicking on them, just like you selected them by clicking in "Candidates" field.
in "Step 3/4 - Confirm your vote" you can still click "Back" button of your browser which will bring you back to 2/4 with all previous "Preferences" deleted resp moved up to "Candidates" again
Only after you click "Continue to next step" button at bottom of screen 3/4, your vote gets committed and you get your confirmation token in screen 4/4

Despite this being an election set up to have two "winners" in the end, you're still free to select an arbitrary number of candidates from "none" to "COUNT(candidates)" (4 in this TEST election)

A HUGE THANKYOU to Woody who made it possible to conveniently and swiftly create elections like this one, by implementing the fine vote-admin web interface. Setting up the TEST election been a matter of ~5 min. :-)

have fun ;-)

Sorry for my blatant failure to update this thread.
In short: councils finally got unified, BoD elections got announced and
currently the voting booth for BoD elections is open till June 28th 23:59UTC

As already announced during previous referendum and elections, for this vote you use the same authentication token you received for last votes. Same rules apply.

Excellent news that we now have 5 in the HFB!!!
And most seem to be very competent, 1 or 2 I'm not so sure about, but they deserve a chance to prove themselves.
And we can't be too critical, because at least they put their hand up to serve!
